National Bulletin: 180-21-7 Date: September 21, 2021
Subject: CPA – Conservation Economics Webinar Series Open for Enrollment

Purpose.   Employee Development Section’s (EDS) Economic Training Cadre is excited to announce Phase 1 of the Conservation Economics Webinar Series is available for enrollment. This webinar series meets the economic requirement for Level III Planners and replaces the in-person Economics of Conservation Planning Course.

Expiration Date.  December 31, 2021

Background.  This course is for planners that need to meet the economic requirement for Level III planner certification. Because legacy planners need to complete this course before the December 31 deadline to retain their conservation planner certification, the cadre is releasing the series in 3 phases to allow planners ample time to complete the course before the end of the calendar year.

Planners can complete the course on their own time. The 12 webinars require approximately 8 hours to complete. All 12 webinars must be completed and the comprehensive exam passed with at least 80% to receive completion credit.

Explanation.  After enrollment, 4 webinars will be available. After completing the 4 webinars, a knowledge check will open for you to complete.

See the table below for expected release dates, number of webinars, and approximate completion time for each phase. Completion credit is received only after completing all 12 webinars and passing the comprehensive exam with at least 80%.

Once all phases are on AgLearn, future planners will be able to complete the entire training.
