Purpose.  To solicit nominations for the FY 2021 National Civil Rights Advisory Committee to the Chief (NCRACC) outreach awards.
 
Expiration Date.  December 31, 2021
 
Background.   NCRACC serves as the advisory body to the Chief and provides advice to national leaders that supports efforts to ensure civil rights compliance in the delivery of NRCS program services and employment opportunities. Each year NCRACC solicits nominations from NRCS to recognize employees and conservation partners who have gone above and beyond their duty in civil rights outreach. NCRACC award selectees will be recognized and presented awards in February 2022 at the National Association of Conservation Districts annual meeting. 
 

Explanation.   NCRACC is soliciting FY 2021 nominations for the following awards:

The National NRCS Individual Civil Rights Award recognizes an individual who  has made a significant contribution to NRCS in civil rights program delivery.
The National NRCS Team/Group Civil Rights Award recognizes a team or group that has made a significant contribution to NRCS in civil rights program delivery.
The Chief’s Workforce Diversity Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions towards achieving the NRCS goal of building a diverse workforce and ensuring that programs are delivered in an efficient, effective, and fair manner.

The FY21 NCRACC Awards Nomination Form (attached) provides specific award eligibility information, criteria for selection, and nomination procedures. The completed FY21 NCRACC Awards Nomination Form must be submitted with the statement of concurrence signed by the State Civil Rights Advisory Committee Chair and State conservationist, regional conservationist, deputy chief, or director.

Submit the completed FY21 NCRACC Awards Nomination Form and reasonable accommodations requests for assistance by close of business October 22, 2021, to both ann.cotton@usda.gov and carolyn.miller@usda.gov. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
