Background.  FY 2022 Watershed Rehabilitation Program funding will be allocated to States in early FY 2022. Requests for FY 2022 project funding must be submitted by completing the form “FY 2022 Funds Request for Potential Watershed Rehabilitation Projects.”

Action. To be considered for FY 2022 funding for planning, form “FY 2022 Funds Request for Potential Watershed Rehabilitation Projects” and required documents listed below must be completed and submitted by COB June 30, 2021.

Form “FY 2022 Funds Request for Potential Watershed Rehabilitation Projects” can be accessed from the Watershed Rehabilitation SharePoint site.

The documents listed below must be completed and be uploaded to the State’s Rehab SharePoint folder “FY 2022 Funds Request” by COB June 30, 2021.

1. Gantt chart or excel spreadsheet showing timeline to complete milestone activities and deliverables for each project phase requested for funding.

2. Documentation supporting the technical assistance funds requested:

a. cost estimate for in-house staff
b. independent government estimate (IGE) for A&E services 

3. A completed “Evaluation of Potential Rehabilitation Project” worksheet for projects requesting funding for planning or implementation. A copy of the worksheet is located on the Rehab SharePoint site.

5. Letter from sponsor(s) documenting their understanding and commitment to the project. See 390-NWPM, Part 505, Subpart A, Section 505.32 B (xi). 4. Documentation supporting population at risk (PAR) computations.

6. Signed SF-424 from the sponsor for planning implementation and/or sponsor letter of request for a dam assessment.

7. State Conservationist certification that the request represents the needs for the State and watershed project sponsors.

Funding requests and supporting documentation for watershed rehabilitation projects must be submitted by COB June 30, 2021.
