Subject: PGM – Guidance for Submitting Financial and Technical Assistance Request for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021


Action Required By:  February 5, 2021, April 1, 2021, and July 1, 2021
 
Purpose.  To provide State Conservationists (STCs) and Caribbean and Pacific Islands Area Directors with the opportunity to submit program financial and technical assistance request for consideration during FY 2021.   
 
Expiration Date.  September 30, 2021
 
Background.  Each fiscal year, National Headquarters (NHQ) evaluates the status of financial assistance (FA) program obligations and considers additional FA and technical assistance (TA) funding needs. Any additional funds requested through these assessments must be obligated prior to established deadlines.   
 

Explanation.  STCs and Caribbean and Pacific Islands Area Directors have one “Fund Assessment” period for Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) Renewals and two “Funds Assessment” periods for Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA), Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) General, EQIP-Initiatives, CSP Classic, and CSP Initiatives to request additional funds.  States must submit their FA and TA requests into the FAPD SharePoint site - Funds Assessment.  

Requests must be submitted for the programs as follows:

CSP Renewals
• February 5, 2021

AMA, EQIP General, EQIP Initiatives, CSP Classic, and CSP Initiatives
• April 1, 2021, and
• July 1, 2021

Any funds that will not be obligated must be returned by August 13, 2021, through the applicable tools for redistribution.
