NB 300-20-1 LTP Joint Chiefs Landscape Restoration Partnership Project Reports – Fiscal Year (FY) 2019
National Bulletin: 300-20-1 Date: October 7, 2019
Subject: LTP - Joint Chiefs Landscape Restoration Partnership Project Reports – Fiscal Year (FY) 2019

Action Required By:   November 20, 2019

Purpose.  To provide State Conservationists with instructions for completing progress reports and final reports for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Forest Service (FS) Joint Chiefs’ Landscape Restoration Partnership (JCLRP) projects. A similar communication is being sent to your FS counterparts.

Expiration Date.   September 30, 2020

Background.  The goal of the JCLRP is to improve the health and resiliency of forest ecosystems where public and private lands meet. Annual progress reports for JCLRP projects describe the accomplishments achieved through these partnerships and benefits to local communities. Final reports describe the projects’ overall accomplishments, community benefits, partner support and involvement, and lessons learned. This information will be used to identify the benefits of the restoration work that can be accomplished through partnerships, communicate the benefits of the Joint Chiefs’ initiative, and evaluate levels of funding provided for continuing projects.

Reports should be jointly prepared and submitted by NRCS and FS. The final report template (Attachment A) should be used for projects initiated in FY17 and completed in FY19. The progress report template (Attachment B) should be used for JCLRP projects initiated in FY18 or FY19.

Explanation.  This guidance establishes reporting templates for JCLRP projects implemented in FY19. Progress and final reports, including relevant photos and press releases, should be submitted by November 20, 2019, by email to Matthew Vandersande at matthew.vandersande@usda.gov and Clint Cross at clint.cross@usda.gov.

Contact.  If you have questions about this bulletin or need additional information on the JCLRP, please contact Matthew Vandersande (matthew.vandersande@usda.gov) at 202-690-1588.
