Purpose.   To announce the revised version of NESH, Title 190, Part 631 - Development of Ecological Site Concepts and Descriptions, Subparts A, B, and C.    
 
Expiration Date.   September 30, 2019  
 
Background.   NESH provides guidance for ecological site description and inventory important for NRCS conservation planning, implementation, and assessment.  NESH contains the standards, guidelines, definitions, policies, responsibilities, and procedures for describing ecological sites.         
 
Explanation.   NESH Part 631, Parts A, B, and C have been revised and are available through eDirectives.  Part 631 covers the development of Ecological Sites; Subpart A addresses Ecological Site Concepts; Subpart B addresses Information and Products; and Subpart C addresses Identification and Labeling Protocol.  Changes to these parts are extensive.
