NB 210-19-3 ENG – Reminder of Subscription to ASCE myLearning On-Demand Webinar Library for NRCS Engineers, Geologists, and Landscape Architects
National Bulletin: 210-19-3  Date: April 24, 2019
Subject: ENG – Reminder of Subscription to ASCE myLearning On-Demand Webinar Library for NRCS Engineers, Geologists, and Landscape Architects

Purpose.   This bulletin serves as a reminder of the NRCS subscription to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) myLearning On-Demand Webinars for NRCS engineers, geologists, and landscape architects announced in National Bulletin 210-18-2, dated October 26, 2017 (attached).

Expiration Date.  October 17, 2019

Background.  NRCS purchased a 2-year subscription for access to 600 on-demand webinars for individual use by NRCS engineers, geologists, and landscape architects. National Bulletin 210-18-2, dated October 26, 2017, provides full details on creating an ASCE account, ordering and viewing webinars, and obtaining continuing education credits for the webinars.

Explanation.  As of March 22, 2019, NRCS employees ordered 326 of the 600 available webinars. Employees have 365 days from the date of ordering a webinar to complete it. The current subscription expires October 17, 2019. Although employees ordering webinars on that date have until October 18, 2019, to complete it, they should complete webinars as soon as possible after ordering.

To ensure that we use the full 600 titles available to NRCS, the subscription is now open to all NRCS employees who would most benefit from the webinars (for example, civil engineering technicians, soil conservation technicians, interns, and student trainees). Unfortunately, this is not available to district or other partner employees.

Some important reminders:
• Employees using this subscription must have a usda.gov email address.
• Employees must create an ASCE account to log the courses they ordered and completed, and to track continuing education credits.
• Only individual use webinars are available (if there are two courses listed with the same name, make sure to select the one designated “Individual (one engineer)”).
• Individuals who wish to record training courses in Aglearn must submit a separate SF-182 through AgLearn. Enter a $0.00 cost for the training, indicate in the billing instructions that this is a prepaid subscription, and, if necessary, reference National Bulletin 210-18-2 or this national bulletin in the billing instructions.
